Restaurant
With two of the most enticing restaurants in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, dining doesn't get any better than at Hotel Lutetia under the leadership of Michelin Star, Executive Chef, Philippe Renard. From the innovative seasonal menu at Paris to the elegant relaxed atmosphere of the Brasserie, close attention to detail and subtle fine-tuning is what makes the dining experience at Hotel Lutetia like no other. Hotel Lutetia's gourmet restaurant, Paris, serves contemporary French cuisine with a creative twist made from the freshest seasonal ingredients. Fashion designers, editors, journalists and politicians represent the exclusive and repeat clientele of this star-rated restaurant. Warm and cosy, the restaurant is beautifully decorated by designer Sonia Rykiel with the décor in the style of a luxurious Normandy 30s' liner with marquetry-covered walls. On two levels, the lower floor comprises a baccarat table featuring beautiful coloured glasses which requires a reservation, while the upper level of the restaurant has a selection of tables surrounded by artworks by Philippe Hiquily. Decorated by Slavik and Sonia Rykiel, Brasserie Lutetia is the typical Parisian brasserie and one of the most renowned meeting places for Left Bank residents, either for business or family events. Large windows look out onto the bustling street outside and the brasserie which is appointed with chrome and black leather seating serves great value seafood and regional dishes. The Lutetia Bar is the very heart and soul of the Hotel Lutetia. Renowned amongst the literati, fashionistas and celebrities of the Left Bank, the bar and lounge areas are always lively - full of artists, journalists and writers, all appreciating its sophisticated yet unpretentious ambience. Its richly decorated interior with red and gold accents is perfectly complimented by the sculptures and paintings of Arman, Philippe Hiquilly, Max Le Verrier and Thierry Bisch. Music is also a key component that makes the Lutetia Bar a favourite – loyal guest and famous French singer, Eddy Mitchell, wrote a song entitled Bar du Lutetia and there is live piano music every evening from 7pm as well as “Lute-Jazz” performances every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:15pm. Whether visiting for a snack at lunchtime, pastries in the afternoon, or a cocktail in the evening, the attentive but discrete staff are always welcoming and courteous. We encourage you to try one of Gilles Guyomarch’s original cocktails, perhaps even to select one of 20 different types of cigar contained in Philippe Hiquilly’s specially designed sculpture, cleverly doubling as an humidor.
