Our 3-storey B&B welcomes its guests in a charming structure, with elegant spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms. All rooms have been furnished with family pieces of furniture and paintings, but very modern and comfortable beds. The dining room and one of the living rooms upstairs have undergone a restoration that brought back the original frescoes to their splendour. Cut-outs of those frescoes are now the symbols of each room and its keyring, as well as our logo: as children we used to call that "grotesque" figure an "ape rosa" (pink bee). The "Italian garden" which surrounds the villa is protected by the Ministry of Environment and contains typical Tuscan plants such as irises, magnolias, roses and lemon trees in their earthenware vessels. A laurel hedge separates the garden from the orchard with its herbs, and fruit and olive trees. From the bottom of the garden and some rooms upstairs you can see Il Duomo. If you let your eyes wander, you can also see Fiesole and the Stibbert museum on a background of rolling green hills. Moreover, just behind us, lie the city hospital, Careggi, and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

Rooms

Our bedrooms are finely furnished with family furniture and paintings. All beds, though, are modern, as well as the air conditioning, heating and the lcd-TVs. All rooms have their own bathrooms, with shower or bath, and are decorated with hand-painted tiles from Vietri, the italian small village renowned for its ceramics. Due to its ancient origins, there are no lift facilities.

In the heart of Florence, our B&B is surrounded by the artistic beauties for which Florence is renowned. If not a bus or taxi, a casual and pleasant stroll will take you directly to museums and churches, shopping streets and restaurants. We are only pleased to give tourist information, and most of all information you won't find in travel guides. We will tell you which exhibitions and concerts are taking place at the moment, we can recommend our favourite restaurants/cafés/bars/pubs, and maybe give you some hints on where to buy something different from a wooden Pinocchio as a souvenir.
