The hotel restaurant is one of the most renowned throughout Amsterdam. The hotel itself used to be a school and the restaurant is housed in the former school gym and is large and bright with an open kitchen and serves predominantly Dutch/International cuisine. Exterior
As the name suggests, this building used to be a school and has been restored to its former glory which is very traditional in design with a small garden at the entrance with flames lining the pathway.
Lobby
The lobby is very attractive with exposed brick walls and a small seating area in the style of a private drawing room with many different materials on the walls, on the floor and in the seating arrangement. The reception area is quite small but very welcoming.
