Exterior
The hotel is a modern high-rise building which has excellent views of the ocean and the in-land waterways. Palm trees are seen around the building.
Lobby
The lobby is very large and grand with marbled floors, high ceilings and comfortable seating areas. There is a grand staircase which leads to a spa area.

Located on Collins Avenue in central Miami Beach, near the marina and shopping district, this Morris Lapidus-designed landmark hotel, originally designed and built in 1955, features beautifully carved Italian marble and rosewood columns, highly polished original terrazzo floors, and overlooks the cool, teal waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
