Each is different with its own unique layout, vivid Renaissance color palette inspired by Raphael and distinctive collection of art and objects. Imported hand tufted rugs with deep rose velvet drapery on custom bronze rods create a beautiful palette with the mahogany window enclosures and wooden blinds. Curated photographs and unique pieces of furniture inspired by a myriad of cultures and styles are juxtaposed with original creations by Julian Schnabel and Maarten Baas throughout all of our Manhattan hotel rooms.
Restaurant
The Hotel's on-site eatery is acclaimed Italian Restaurant Maialino from restaurateur Danny Meyer’s celebrated Union Square Hospitality Group. The space captures the warmth of a traditional Italian trattoria, with its rustic oak panels, tiled floors and large windows framingviews of the historic Gramercy Park. Maialino is known for its Roast Suckling Pig, authentic pastas, light antipasto, and othertraditional Italian foods as imagined by Executive Chef Nick Anderer, who utilizes fresh,seasonal ingredients to create bold flavors. The New York Restaurant serves Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner, Weekend Brunch and its bustling bar serves local Coffee throughout themorning before transforming into a lively Wine Bar at night.
Exterior
The Hotel's 21st century facelift from Oscar-nominated director and artist Julian Schnabel focused on a distinct Renaissance- revival concept incorporating the vivid colors of the era with bold hues on the walls, upholstery and carpets. The furniture was specially imported from markets around the world. The result is an ambiance that is regal, relaxed and ultimately,transporting.
