The hotel has 26 rooms elegantly decorated. All rooms are equipped with blinds and offer a flat-screen TV and a spacious en suite marble bathroom.
Restaurant
The Great Room Restaurant is famous for it's afternoon tea, and is a sumptuous space evoking effortless and timeless grandeur. The food is inspired by the classics, yet allows the excellence of the ingredients to shine through. It is fine dining in an architectural gem, complemented by a superb wine list and exemplary service. "The Bar" was officially named the "Worlds Best Cocktail Bar 2010" with a cocktail list of biblical proportions and is a great place for post or pre dinner drinks. In addition "Berts" encapsulates the sleek elegance of the Art Deco era, with live Jazz and mouth watering food from a French Bistro style menu. Finally, the "Cloth Ear" is the hotel's comfortable public bar with a warm and welcoming interior, and fresh creative homemade food favourites.
Exterior
The Merchant is a Grade I Listed building dating back to 1860 and was built as the headquarters of the Ulster Bank. It was transformed into a hotel in 2006.
